Fundraiser of the Month: MX Masterclass

MX Masterclass named Fundraiser of the Month

For the past six years, our long-term supporter Michael D. Xavier, an award-winning West End and Broadway actor and director of Musical Theatre Academy, MX Masterclass, has been putting on an annual charity concert at The Actor’s Church in Covent Garden, London.  Last year they raised an impressive £4,757.57 for which we are incredibly grateful! Their long-standing support is only one of the reasons we’ve named them our Fundraiser of the Month for December.

“I first got involved with the charity as I saw it advertised and as we work with many young students the thought of losing any of them to cancer broke my heart. I decided it was a fitting charity to raise money for.

Each year it’s humbling and heart-warming that so many West End stars give their time and talent for free to help raise as much as possible for those children suffering from the effects of cancer.

The concert is always the highlight of my year and is the perfect start to the festive season – giving, making music and spreading Christmas cheer.  I’m honoured to help support such a wonderful charity.”

– Michael D. Xavier.

This year, they’re still hosting their annual concert, but to keep everyone safe, they won’t be having a live audience. However, the show must still go on, and instead, the concert will be aired on stream.theatre on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day having been filmed live while staying socially-distanced in The Actor’s Church in Covent Garden.

With a huge list of West End Stars all giving their time and talent for free to raise money for Children with Cancer UK, it’s one not to be missed.. You can also support the concert by donating through their fundraising page.
