What’s the fundraising challenge you set yourself and why?

WTW select a UK charity partner for a two-year period. Our partnership with Children with Cancer UK commenced in April 2023 and runs until April 2025.

WTW set the target to raise £200,000 over the 2-year contract agreement.

How much money have you raised so far?

WTW have completed the following events and raised the amounts as estimated at the current time.

South Downs Walk, October 2023 – £24,000

London Marathon, April 2024 – £66,000

Ford RideLondon, May 2024 – £28,500

3 Peaks (2 weekends) July 2024 – £93,000

In addition, local office events have taken place and included, bake sales, Eurovision events, 2024 Euros.

All of which have contributed to the overall total of over £260,000.

We also have two more challenge events planned with the London Walk in October 2024 and the London Marathon 2025.

Why did you decide to fundraise for Children with Cancer UK?

WTW engage with a new charity partner every 2 years. Nominations are made by all WTW colleagues in the UK. Once the nominations have been received, the UK CSR team go through the process of reviewing and shortlisting the nominations for interviews.

Children with Cancer UK were nominated by the WTW colleagues and shortlisted for the interview stage. Following the interviews, the UK CSR team created the three final nominations for the WTW colleagues to vote on their favourite. Children with Cancer UK won that vote and we awarded the honour of being the WTW UK chosen charity partner.

How has WTW UK found the challenges so far?

A number of challenge events have been completed and the support from Children with Cancer UK has always been outstanding. The fundraising for Children with Cancer UK is ongoing until the end of April 2025, finishing with the London Marathon as our last charity event.
