In September 2013, we donated £500,000 to help children and their families at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, as part of their Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal.
Expansion of Bristol Royal Hospital
The expansion of Bristol Royal Hospital for Children will see the incorporation of new clinical specialities to create one of the only multi-disciplinary children’s hospitals in the UK, with a wide provision of clinical facilities all under one roof.
How our donation will help Bristol Royal Hospital for Children
Our gift will serve to transform facilities on the new Integrated Cancer Unit and will enable the hospital to invest in a ground-breaking Paediatric Intraoperative MRI Scanner. The scanner – the first of its kind in the South of England and only the third in Europe – will revolutionise treatment and boost survival rates for children with brain tumours. The new, ground-breaking facilities will set Bristol Royal Hospital for Children apart from others in the UK and ensure that patients throughout the South can access the very best, world-class care, surgery and research.
