Fundraiser of the Month: Sydney

What’s the fundraising challenge you set yourself and why? 

I decided to shave my head to raise money for children’s cancer research and care, I set a target of £1500 which then changed and I decided to aim for £2000.

How’s your challenge going? If it’s completed – how did you find it?

It’s finished and I raised £4168. I really enjoyed the positive reactions I got from people. My school was really encouraging. My hair looks ok, but I do need to wear a beanie when it’s cold.

Why did you decide to fundraise for Children with Cancer UK?  

My grandad died of cancer, and I am sad there is no cure, I also think it’s especially sad for children to get cancer so I thought I would try to help.

By fundraising, Sydney has raised an amazing £4168 for Children with Cancer UK’s work, which will help us invest in more life-saving childhood cancer research. We’d like to say a huge thank you for your support – it is only thanks to supporters like you that we can continue our work.
